Group 6 Blog

http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/the_soup/index.html
It's our last blog!! For the last post our group thought it would be a good idea to put up a blog that most people have heard of. The Soup Blog, which is also a TV show on E!, talks about celebrities, politicians, and other social figures and events in a funny and kind of degrading way. They put up a lot of segments from the show and make posts based on whatever new things are going on in the media. Enjoy!

Group 5 Post

http://failblog.org/

The posts are mainly just pictures of things that people have done wrong, and they have the popular phrase "fail" written on them. Sometimes laughing at the stupid things that we do or that others do is just the humor that we need. This blog takes it one step further by having even more humor blogs connected at the top, such as "failbook" and "win".

I think that this blog pertains to our theme because it is funny, and it also points out all of the stupid things that people do. I guess maybe the only thing that could be considered a social issue that all of the posts have in common is that humans (because there are posts about other countries, too) are capable of making mistakes or doing stupid things. However, the blog doesn't really comment on social issues, it just posts them with the phrase "fail".

Group 4 Blog

This blog is run by a recently married woman, who does not give her name, and is primarily about her complaints about her husband. She has 902 fans on her Facebook page. This blog does not seem to address any important or controversial issues, just funny, common things that husbands do that annoy their wives. Specifically look at the post from December 20th titled "There's no 'I' in 'We'" and comment on that. Enjoy!

"Letters From Texas"

This weeks blog is "Letters From Texas". This blog exposes the ridiculous and stupid about America's politics and social aspects. This blog is written by Harold Cook, who describes himself as a "progressive Texan in a bad mood." This blog seems to be well know in Texas due to reviews of the blog displayed in a column in the blog, written by local newspapers and news programs.

GROUP 2 BLOG

Our group chose the blog "The Problem With Young People Today Is..." by Donald Mills. This blog consists of Donald Mills using comedy to highlight all of the short-comings of young people today. He also contrasts young and old people, and in the process of contrasting he highlights a lot of the old people's flaws comedically as well. The link for the blog is http://crabbyoldfart.wordpress.com/

Group #1 Blog Post

The blog we choose was Adam Fowler's Opinion Blog a cynical perspective on big government and more.
This is the link to the website
http://adamfowlersopinion.wordpress.com/

The blog is a compilation of videos, cartoons and articles that bring up and address issues of government, education and the economy along with other smaller issues. Adam Fowler's reason for writing this blog is to share his cynical view of the government in a comedic way.
